Program Overview
Despite the annual release of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommended vaccine schedule, vaccine coverage rates for adults are well below 100%. There are a variety of reasons for this, including lack of access to healthcare; lack of information about vaccine availability, safety, and efficacy; misconceptions about who needs to be vaccinated; and lack of communication between healthcare providers and patients. |
